WHO THIS IS FOR

Everyone thinks you're fine. Most days you think so too.

You are the one people count on. The calendar, the group text, the aging parent, the job, the friend in crisis. You are good at it, and you are tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. There may have been a morning you cried on the subway to work and then walked into the office and ran the meeting.

The hard part is not that you don't know something has to give. It is that any change feels too disruptive. Who picks up what you put down? So you keep going, and the tenderness you would offer anyone else you don't offer yourself, because there isn't time.

I work with a lot of women in this exact spot. What tends to be underneath it is not a lack of insight. It is a set of rules about what you are allowed to need, learned early and followed so long they feel like personality. We find those rules, and then we practice breaking them, in small, specific ways, before life asks you to do it for real.

What we would actually do

We start with what is actually going on, not the version you give at dinner. Then we get specific. The conversation with your mother you keep postponing. The ask at work you keep swallowing. The evening you have not taken for yourself in a year. We work it out together, and sometimes we rehearse it, so the first time you say the hard thing is not the time it counts. I am warm, and I will be honest with you, kindly. You will not be handed a worksheet.

Practical: Individual sessions are 50 minutes and $250. In person in Downtown Brooklyn or by video anywhere in New York State.

Start with fifteen minutes.

A short call, no charge, and no obligation to book anything after it. Tell me roughly what is going on and I'll tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
